Amor and Exile, True Stories of Love Across America's Borders, is authored by Nathaniel Hoffman and Nicole R Salgado.
Nicole Salgado will present Amor and Exile on Tuesday, February 4, at 11:00 am in La Penita de Jaltemba, Nayarit. Nathaniel Hoffman will Skype into the conversation and be available for questions.
Across the United States, American citizens are forced underground, exiled abroad and separated from their spouses for a surprising reason. Amor and Exile is the story of American citizens — including Veronica, Ben, J.W., and Nicole — who fall in love with undocumented immigrants only to find themselves trapped in a legal labyrinth, stymied by their country’s de facto exclusion of their partners. Xaltemba is located at Salina Cruz #4 on the "Andador" walkway on the northwest corner of the Main Square / Plaza in the heart of La Peñita. Click here for the map.
