Ahead of the Christmas celebrations, the Rotary Club South and the System for Integral Family Development (DIF) through the Municipal Council on Disability (COMUDIS), with its "Devices That Give Movement" program made twelve wheelchair deliveries to people of Puerto Vallarta to improve their quality of life.
In the event held at the premises of DIF Municipal, President of the assistance agency, Magaly Fregoso Ortiz, mentioned that everyone has been working steadily in finding real solutions for those with a problem of movement, learning or language.
Accordingly, the work was acknowledged that has been accomplished by the Rotary Club South towards people with disabilities, especially since there are over 10,000 disabled people in the town.
Fregoso Ortiz also emphasized the ongoing efforts for our citizens with disabilities in providing rehabilitation coupled with workshops and the courses which are already in place.
Meanwhile, Bravo Alonso Amaral, head of COMUDIS, thanked those who accompanied the beneficiaries of the 12 wheelchairs in supporting those needing help.
He said that these wheelchairs are a Christmas present for the people with disabilities, and invited them to not give up, always have faith and put all efforts and human resources to get ahead.
Finally, Ephraim Peña Navarro, Rotary Club South Wheelchair Committee member, stressed the willingness of entrepreneurs that bring support to the Club in supplying those with disabilities the needed equipment to make their lives better.
