Spend the Week at Savor & Musik Festival in La Cruz Landon Hollander - InsideLaCruz

La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, otherwise known as a relatively sleepy fishing village, is recognized regionally as having a lively music scene, especially this time of year.

But local organizer (and La Cruz booster/promoter/wunderkind) Jason Foster Barnes has taken this dynamic up a notch and in association with the Asociación Restaurantera de Riviera Nayarit (Riviera Nayarit Dining) has put together a week-long celebration, Festival Savor & Musik that will begin Monday, December 9th with a Kick-off celebration at the glorieta (roundabout @ Calle Coral and Av. Langosta) at 7:00 pm. Starting at 8:00 pm, four different groups will perform at four different restaurants.

On Tuesday and running through Saturday, four different restaurants will feature two bands each with 7:00 and 8:00 pm sets.

Participating restaurants are: Black Forest, Casa Hule, Enrique's, Frascati, Gecko Rojo, Jardin Del Pulpo, Masala, Oso's Oyster Bar & Seafood Market Restaurant, Philo's and Sandzibar.

Sunday will be a day-long music fest in the central Plaza in La Cruz starting at 2:00 in the afternoon, with different music acts every 45 minutes.

This is a fantastic way to not only hear some new music, but visit a venue you may not have previously tried. It’s a win-win for the town, the restaurants and everyone who loves music.
