Coins in Cans Fundraiser in Vallarta for Special Needs Children Team Angels - Pasitos de Luz

Pasitos de Luz is a non-profit organization that provides care for special needs children from low-income families in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was founded more than fourteen years ago by a determined group of mothers who were desperate to have a place where their disabled children could receive decent levels of care and attention.

Pasitos de Luz does not charge a single peso for its services. All the children are fed and looked after at no cost to the parents. Instead, all our funds come from the generous support of our local and foreign benefactors. It is truly a miracle that our charity has existed for so long, and we are determined to keep working for its long-term future.

Are you in PV at the moment? Then you're here just at the right time! Our annual fundraiser, El Pasitón, is in full swing and we desperately need your support. Think you can help?

The idea is simple. We need the whole of Puerto Vallarta to get behind Pasitos and raise funds to enable us to continue offering services to our children. Every peso counts! Whether you want to help out as a business, institution, as an individual or a group of friends, every pair of hands is needed.

We are being ambitious this year. By midnight of December 15th, we aim to have collected 200,000 pesos (15,400 USD). We are confident that with the support of Vallarta, we can achieve this! The fundraiser will run until December 20.

There are many ways you can help, including:

• Host a fundraising event on our behalf, especially if you are a restaurant, bar or hotel
• Donate your loose change at one of our collection points around Puerto Vallarta
• Become a volunteer for an hour, a day or a week, collecting money at one of our collection points
• Donate $20, $50, $100 or more directly to our Bancomer account no. 0146647480!

Any spare pesos, dimes, nickels, etc. are more than welcome. You can donate your spare change at the following locations:
