This review is from: Vacationing In Puerto Vallarta: A Gringo's Guide To Enjoying Your Mexican Vacation (Kindle Edition)
This is a well written travel guidebook. It's full of great information and beautiful, fun photographs, and does a very good job of selling Puerto Vallarta as a tourist destination.
But it's also a good guide on the practicalities of traveling to Mexico. The book is full of valuable, practical advice and tips, such as how much time to schedule between connecting air flights, in order to clear customs and security checkpoints and change terminals. It also warns about the paperwork that you'll need and how to safeguard it. And it includes a list of local emergency phone numbers that you'll hope you won't need.
This book is full of information that could save your vacation. For instance, it explains about the idiosyncrasies of driving in Mexico. It includes a lot about some local restaurants and the local food, and suggest a number of fun activities that are available in Puerto Vallarta. Personally, I was impressed by the sand sculptures displayed on the beach and the brass sculptures of aliens.
If you are considering a Mexican vacation, I recommend you pick this book up.
