The beaches and natural attractions are some of the main assets of Riviera Nayarit. The Clean Bay Committee has announced the schedule for the annual beach clean-ups for 2013.
Scheduled from September 25 until October 3, we will visit the beaches of Bucerías, La Manzanilla, Destiladeras, La Lancha, El Anclote, Careyeros, Sayulita, San Pancho and Lo de Marcos in order to remove debris and trash from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon.
After receiving such great results from the 2011 and 2012 beach clean-ups from the support of different companies and the general public, the organizing committee has announced the cities and dates for 2013 and they are asking for your help.
Beach Clean-Up Schedule
• Wednesday, September 25 - Bucerias - Meet at the Plaza Principal.
• Thursday, September 26 - La Manzanilla - Meet at the main beach entrance
• Friday - September 27 - Destilladeras - Meet in the parking lot at the entrance to the beach
• Monday - September 30 - La Lancha - Meet at the entrance of la caseta de vigilancia
• Tuesday - October 1 - Anclote and Careyeros - Meet at the entrance to the boat area. In Careyeros meet at the main entrance to the beach.
• Wednesday, October 2 - Sayulita - Meet at the Plaza Principal
• Thursday - October 3 - San Pancho and Lo de Marcos - Meet at the Plaza Principal in both locations.
"Joining efforts and commitment of the different sectors is essential to achieving greater social awareness for the care and preservation of the environment in the Bay of Banderas. So, not only are we asking for your support, but applaud initiatives like this," said Marc Murphy, CEO of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit.
