'Life Insurance for Mother Heads of Family' Implemented in Puerto Vallarta AZ Noticias

Ramon Guerrero Martinez and Federal Delegate of the Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL) in Jalisco, Judith Gloria Rojas Maldonado, announced the new program of "Life Insurance for Mother Heads of Family" to give social protection to the children of Puerto Vallarta.

This program is being created as a part of sharing the resources of over 9 million pesos granted to the city of Puerto Vallarta by the three levels of government.

In his message, Mayor Ramon Guerrero, thanked the teamwork maintained with the Ministry of Social Development in getting this program started for women heads of households, with "the aim of reducing the vulnerability facing the children with household income below the welfare line in the event of death of their mother. It would provide monthly financial support that encourages the children to stay in the education system."

Other programs include 'Temporary Employment' and '3x1 Migrants' which will repair the roads in poor areas of the city and the rural areas while providing employment opportunities to the less fortunate in Vallarta, which adds to the actions that the municipal government begins to implement to encourage employment opportunities during the months of September and October, and the over 200 million pesos investment to rehabilitate and reconstruct the many roads throughout the municipality.

Meanwhile, the Federal Delegate, Judith Gloria Rojas Maldonado, highlighted the commitment that the Mayor will provide  to the people who need it most, hence maintaining close coordination with Federal and State government to work pro-Vallarta.

Around the "Life Insurance for Mother Heads of Family," the CEO of Social Development, Arturo Davalos Peña, said that enrollment in the program will be held beginning on Tuesday in the offices of the Municipal Institute of Women (Instituto Municipal de la Mujer).

The requirements for acceptance into the program are a copy of birth certificate, CURP identification card and official photo identification (IFE credential) plus recent proof of address. It incorporates those single mothers, widows or divorcees who are between 12 and 68 years of age and are the head of household. Currently, the Municipal Institute of Women has 1,500 on record as heads of household and that are already pre-registered for this program.

Among others, the announcement event was attended by Municipal DIF President, Magaly Fregoso Ortiz; Counselor Doris Ponce Aguilar; CEO of Social Development, Arturo Dávalos Peña; General Manager of Infrastructure and Services, Óscar Delgado Chávez; and, Director of the Municipal Institute of Women, Ariadne Meza Montejano.
