The month of September is the month of theater in Puerto Vallarta. The Vallarta Institute of Culture (IVC) led by Fabián Alberto Sahagun, Director of the Municipal Theater, along with Producer Edgar Treviño, will present a package of plays at the Cuale Cultural Center.

With three ongoing scheduled scenic productions, the first will be 'The Toothbrush' ('El Cepillo de Dientes'), a play of the absurd which will be presented every Wednesday in September at 8:00 pm. Note that this presentation won Encuentro de Teatro del Interior de Lagos de Moreno and won first place in the category of Best Director and Best Actress (Veronica Muñiz) at the State Theater.

'How to be Gay and Not Die Trying' ('Como ser Gay y no morir en el intento') is the second production and is dedicated to the homophobia of some people in the country. There are five cases of murders of homosexuals, the search focused on how to survive when the eyes of society are on the subject with judgment and criticism. This work is also by Producciones Raquítica, Edgar Treviño. and will be presented on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 in the evening. The first Saturday show for this presentation will be September 14.

Master Alberto Fabián Sahagún Orozco, Director of the Municipal Theater, will present the play 'Letters to the Divine Prisoner' ('Cartas al Divino Preso'), which won the Interior Theater Meeting in Lagos de Moreno, created and directed by Alberto Fabián himself, the which will only be presented on Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8, at 8:00 pm, on the stage of the Cuale River Island.

Thus, the Vallarta Institute of Culture invites the entire community to enjoy local talent through three affordable theater productions with only a 50 or 60 peso entrance fee.
