Warrior Race in Puerto Vallarta to Benefit Senior Citizen Home Team Angels - Warrior-Race Press Conference

The Warrior Race was created by a fitness expert and former 3-time Olympic athlete to inspire the greatness of the human and to show that there are no limits to the force, strength, skill and courage in completing a race that the average person could not finish.

The venue for the race course will begin in El Jorullo in the Paso Ancho area of Puerto Vallarta and will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

The five kilometer course is designed in a jungle environment and contains fifteen obstacles such as mud trenches, river crossings, tire maneuvering, fire jump, climbing, rappel, balance cable, and others. The select group that makes it to the finish line will take away the satisfaction that nothing stops them from achieving their goals.

There are categories for both men and women Warriors from the age of 13 years old. The winner of the purse in the men and women's divisions will receive 20,000 pesos cash.

It is expected that 1,030 Warriors will participate on December 14 with the first block of 250 racers being released at 10:00 am. Blocks of 250 racers will be released every 30 minutes with the final block containing 280 racers.

The entry fee is 500 pesos which includes a commemorative t-shirt, competitor number, sports bracelet, Warrior awards party, medical and hydration services, if needed.

It is suggested that you wear comfortable clothing such as shorts, t-shirt and sneakers. Keep in mind that your clothing will probably become dirty, torn or muddy during the event, so you might want to bring a change of clothes for after the race.

There is free parking for up to 200 cars. You are invited to bring friends and family to cheer you on at the finish line, along with a DJ and live band. There will be different products and services available for purchase. Your sports bracelet that you received with your entry kit will be your admission ticket to the Warrior Race afterwards.

The event is being coordinated through the efforts of Lake Fitness, Puerto Vallarta Municipal Government agencies, Piazzetta Restaurant, Canopy River, among others.

Proceeds will be distributed to Asilo San Juan Diego Senior Citizen Home in Puerto Vallarta.
