Fundraising Bazaar for Elderly, Sick & Poor in Bucerias Needs Volunteers Alison Normanton - Bucerias Bilingual Community Center

Hello everyone,

We will be having a Bazaar of second hand clothing, shoes and household items at the Bucerias Bilingual Community Center on Wednesday, August 21, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.

The profits will go towards our fund for despensas (food parcels) to be distributed to elderly, sick and needy families in our community.

We aim to distribute the food parcels during the first week of September because, as we all know, this is the hardest month of the year for many Mexicans and is affectionately (?) known as "Septihambre" (hambre meaning hunger).

If you have items to donate for the Bazaar, please drop them by BBCC or contact Alison.

Volunteers are needed to help sort the items and sell the merchandise, so if you can help, we hope to see you at 10:30 on August 21.

Bucerias Bilingual Community Center (BBCC) is located in the "fashionable" area of Upper Bucerias, on the East side of highway 200 in Calle 16 de septiembre, 2 blocks off Matamoros, (look for where the footbridge crosses the highway and -northbound - turn right into Matamoros).
