Hello Bucerias and Friends of the BBCC.

I just returned from a quick trip during which the latter half of the Bucerias Bilingual Community Center Summer Program took place.

It was going great when I left but I was very pleased to hear from Mago that every single one of the 25+ kids that attended summer camp LOVED IT and their parents want us to do another one very soon because their kids were energized, enthusiastic, well behaved and excited to go the next day.   

I have some beautiful creative cards that the kids made explaining what they liked best during the 2 weeks and yoga, origami, English and art came out on top.

Swimming was, of course, a big treat in John's lovely pool and all the kids said they had a great time.

It appears we have also got some budding Bird Watchers and Sculptors amongst our local young community so I am excited to see how they progress in future months.

Each child took home an article they had sculpted and a tee shirt they had painted as well as some new skills and a smile.

Thanks to everyone that supported the children by offering sponsorships, giving classes, organizing rides to and fro, helping to prepare food, clean up and just, well, being there!

A special thanks to Investours for all the help their interns gave to us for the duration. Cat Morgan of Rivieranayaritfun took hundreds of photos and has posted them on her site, a big thank you for that!

Bucerias Bilingual Community Center (BBCC) is located in the "fashionable" area of Upper Bucerias, on the East side of highway 200 in Calle 16 de septiembre, 2 blocks off Matamoros, (look for where the footbridge crosses the highway and -northbound - turn right into Matamoros).
