Summer is a fun time for all kids and Serendipity Restaurant & Mezcalería decided to do something very special for all local kids who are enjoying their summer break before starting the new school year. They are organizing a Rally through Mita for all kids between 7 and 15 years old.

The Rally will start in the restaurant’s parking lot on Saturday, August 10 at 9:00 am. There, they will form teams and each team will get a hint of how to get to the first Activity Booth where after finishing with the task, the following hint will be provided.

Activities planned for the children are intended to boost their environmental conscience and to enhance the importance of staying in school.

Serendipity invites you to participate in this fun activity, there are many ways you can collaborate:

• Volunteer to be the host at one of the Activity Booths

• Invite local kids to join and spreading the word

• Donate any of the following materials for the activities:
  • 1 m thick black ribbon
  • 2 m thick ribbon, green and blue
  • 8 small plants for the kids to plant them
  • 10 Paintbrushes 2 inch size
  • Old newspaper
  • 20 medium paintbrushes
  • Vinyl painting (from 1/2 lt to 3 lt) in red, yellow, blue or white.
  • 5 soccer balls
  • 1/2 lt of water paintings any colour
  • sharpie markers
  • white sheets
  • bandanas
  • water bottles

Please check your house and warehouse and see if you have any of this to spare. We will receive the donations at Serendipity Restaurant & Mezcalería during our hours of operation (open daily from 4:00 pm - 12:00 am). The local kids will thank you!!

Serendipity kitchen staff will be doing a "Healthy is not expensive" free cooking lesson with limited occupancy for single moms, and the creators of Macaws Forever will be giving an open chat about local fauna and what we all can do to help to protect it.
