Tour the Small Pueblos Along the Coast of Riviera Nayarit Johann and Sandra - Puerto Vallarta Tours

North of Puerto Vallarta, along the north coast of Banderas Bay, is a stretch of small pueblos and undeveloped shoreline known as the Riviera Nayarit.

With this tour you will experience life in the small towns of this blossoming area, including Mezcales, Flamingos, Bucerias and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle before it realizes its destiny as the next tourist mecca of the Puerto Vallarta coastline.

Our first stop is a local artisans workshop, where he hand-carves wooden statues using techniques passed down through the generations. Next our tour will visit a crocodile sanctuary and nature reserve, where efforts are being made to conserve the indigenous local wildlife of the mangrove waterways.

We will wander the popular street market in Bucerias, then make our way north to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, where we will visit the yacht club and marina area, a bustling maritime community. Finally, we will stop at a tequila factory, where we will learn about how tequila is made and have a chance to learn to drink this national liquor and sample many unique local varieties, some you may have never heard of before.

The tours are on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 10:00 am and are approximately 5.5 hours in duration.

• 10:00 am - Tour Begins in Puerto Vallarta
• 10:30 am - Visit to Palo Fierro Carving Shop
• 11:30 am - Visit to Crocodile Sanctuary
• 12:30 am - Bucerias Street Market
• 2:00 pm - Marina La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
• 3:30 pm - Tequila Stop, Back to Puerto Vallarta
