The Foreign Student Learning Center of Colegio Bucerias offers an intensive Spanish course and learning the Mexican culture in three levels. These three levels include the teaching of grammar, speaking, writing, reading and listening comprehension. This program integrates learning Spanish with the history and culture of Mexico.

The next scheduled course dates will be September 2 to November 29, 2013.

Beginner Level A

The student can express basic communicative needs and interact in a simple and direct way on information about familiar topics and daily activities. Becoming familiar with the basic vocabulary and be able to describe people, places and objects.

Intermediate Level 1 and 2

At this level, the student can perform with relative ease simple descriptions of current and everyday topics. They will be able to participate in dialogues and conversations expressing opinions and preferences, agreements and disagreements. They will hold talks on various subjects. The student will have a vocabulary and language level enough to give clear descriptions, express emotions and views on general topics.

Beginner Level B

The student will be able to communicate confidently in a simple and daily tasks using basic formulas of courtesy. They will be able to say informaton on travel, accommodations, meals, and shopping. Increasing their vocabulary and begin to be able to talk about past events.
 
They will be able to discuss issues related to family, work and current and past events, as well as to provide information about plans. The student will be able to do a brief written or oral speech, describing and narrating events and experiences.

Advanced Level 1 and 2

The student can make clear and organized descriptions and presentations. They can tell stories in detail and suitable examples to expand and highlight the main aspects. They will be able to have conversations on familiar topics. Also, produce a speech with a unified pace and explain their points of view using linking words to signal clearly the relationships between ideas. Finally, they will produce detailed texts on a wide range of topics.

Requirements

• Be over 18 years old
• Fill out an enrollment application
• Submit a copy of Passport
• Have medical insurance (purchased in your country)
• Do a placement test on the day of enrollment

Mexican pesos at the exchange rate at the day of registration, U.S. Dollars or credit/debit card: Visa or MasterCard.

There will be 10 to 15 students per group.

Duration and Cost

Mexican Culture is included in the courses according to the level of Spanish (4 hours daily from Monday to Friday).
• 12 weeks (240 hours) $4,500 USD per person
• 8 weeks (160 hours) $3,400 USD per person
• 4 weeks (80 hours) $1,900 USD per person

The package includes course, materials, accommodations, 2 meals from Monday to Friday (lunch and dinner), transport from the airport, local guidance tours of Bucerias and other areas of Banderas Bay (La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Punta Mita, Sayulita and San Pancho).

Bucerias is part of the Bay of Banderas, near Puerto Vallarta. It is a town distinguished by its inhabitants who are simple people, sincere and kind that seek security and clean beaches. Here you will find yourself with gentle waves, white sands, and best of all, the marvelous spectacle that offer its sunrises and twilights.

Bucerias has, like all towns, its downtown main square located at the sea front, the church, tourist shops, markets and a lot more.

The word Bucerias means "place of the divers" and this stretch of eight kilometers of white sand and blue waters is ideal for surfing, boogie swimming and collecting seashells.
