"Vets Without Borders" is a documentary series about Canadian veterinarians helping animals - and people - in developing countries. In this demo, the vets working to spay/neuter and vaccinate the dog population but there are many more crises to overcome, testing the vet teams' limits. (May Street Productions)

Hello everyone!

We had another successful spay/neuter clinic in April where we sterilized 225 cats and dogs!

We also helped many other animals by doing 5 dental surgeries, one eye removal, a tumor removal and we nursed 6 sick puppies back to health.

We received donations of anti-biotics and medical supplies, which allowed us to diagnose and treat many animal who were sick with tick borne diseases.

We returned home to Victoria from Jaltemba Bay (Riviera Nayarit) and Mexico with 13 dogs who have been tested and treated for different medical conditions and then we went to work finding them their forever homes! I am proud to say that all 13 dogs have found wonderful loving homes, where they will have a chance at happy and healthy lives:)

This April, we were joined by a film crew from May Street Productions, who have been working on a documentary on animal care in Mexico and South America. They filmed us at work and captured amazing footage which will eventually be aired on TV. Please check out the video above to get an idea of what our project is all about. Now we are looking forward to our next clinic in November!

This summer we will be holding some fundraising events, and we will be participating in events around town to get the word out about our project. We will have a booth at the Pet Expo at Pearkes Arena May 25/26. This is always a fun event, so come and visit us there!
