Fashion Show:   Mark your calendar for January 12, 2012, as the date for the PuRR Fashion Show & Luncheon everyone is asking for! Kathleen Palmer of Deja New and Deja New Too Consignment Shops and Isabel Manore of Casa Isabel will once again team up to make sure everyone has an afternoon to remember. Deja New always has an amazing collection of gently-used consignment clothing suitable for everyday wear, work or holiday events. Many outfits are purchased right off the models! This is sure to be a sold-out event so purchase your tickets now at Deja New. Your donation of 250 pesos includes the fashion show, lunch, open bar for the first hour - don't be late! There will also be a drawing for a door prize and for every article of clothing you bring to donate to the PuRR Consignment account, you will get a free ticket for the drawing.  The more you bring, the better your chance to win. The event is being held at Casa Isabel located at 425 Pulpito, telephone 222-3510.

BINGO!!! We’ve had lots of inquiries about resuming our KITTY BINGO events and are working on resuming in mid-January. Watch for more details!!

Adoption Update:

Marj Dueck and her kids contacted PuRR last April and the result was an airplane trip to Canada for 2 lucky shelter kittens. Marj writes:

Hi ladies!! Been wanting to give you an update on Roxy and Bella for a while now...just so busy! You would never recognize Roxy! She is twice the weight from when we got her and such long fur!! She really has found her independence, not much of a cuddeler with the kids but loves hanging with me...gee, I wonder why! Bella is the kitty that has really changed. Loves to be held, cuddled and will curl up anyway you leave her. The Christmas tree is up and they do have their favorite ornaments to play with. They like Diesel our dog now...can't say love because they still don't play around with him but will walk to him and bump him on the legs. Can they eat!! Always meowing for food. I will have to put them on a diet soon. They both have a pouch on them!! Almost everyday we find a dead rodent or snake at the back door. We thought it was Bella for the longest time, but it's Roxy.

Adoptions:

Livia & Shannon had three adoptions at Plaza Marina last Friday! PuRR is so grateful to the Plaza Marina management for allowing us to use this venue which has resulted in 32 adoptions since June.

Patrick is the sweetest little orange & white kitty and a real favorite of the adoption team...but he had been to several adoption events with no luck. Perhaps that is because he was meant for a very special young lady who came along dressed as Santa's Helper and happened to spot Patrick. Her mom, Elma Celis, works at the American School and says she couldn't say "no" to such a special Christmas present for her daughter. We are sure he will have a very Merry Christmas with his new Forever Family!

On the twelfth day of Christmas my human gave to me:
Twelve bags of catnip!
Eleven tarter Pounce treats,
Ten ornaments hanging,
Nine wads of Kleenex,
Eight peacock feathers,
Seven stolen Q-tips,
Six feathered balls,
Five MILK JUG RINGS!
Four munchy house plants,
Three running faucets,
Two fuzzy mousies,
And a hamster in a plastic ball!!
