Coming to Puerto Vallarta for one performance only, Gergely Boganyi, award-winning Hungarian pianist, will take the stage at Teatro Vallarta on Friday, May 17, at 8:30 pm.

Named the "Best Concert and Performing Artist in Hungary," Gergely Bogányi will be interpreting the best of Chopin and Frank Liszt during his performance in Vallarta.

Born in Vac, Hungary, to a family of musicians, Gergely began playing the piano at age four. At the age of six he won a prize at the national "Nyiregyháza" competition and three years later, won first place in the same competition.

He has also received the Gold Medal at the "Franz Liszt International Competition" in Budapest, one of the most demanding competitions worldwide.

In 2004 the President of the Republic of Hungary presented Gergely the greatest recognition bestowed in his homeland: the Kossuth Prize, the youngest to ever receive such acclaim.

His brilliant technique, coupled with a deeply expressed artistic interpretation, has made him an outstanding international performer.

Now, Banderas Bay is honored to host Gergely Bogányi in Vallarta's beautiful Teatro Vallarta.

Tickets are 350 Pesos for general seating and 450 Pesos for preferred seating and are available now through Ticketmaster, at the Ticketmaster Outlet in Galleries Vallarta Mall (across for the cruise terminal) and at Teatro Vallarta's box office Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Teatro Vallarta is located in El Centro at Uruguay 184, just south of Ley's Supermarket on the main street as you enter downtown.
