Some of Puerto Vallarta's finest visual artists are working together to help bring much-needed funds for the Centro de Capacitación y Convivencia para Silentes, a non-profit organization that provides support, training and services for the hearing and speaking impaired.
To that effect, La Cuiza will host a special art auction that will take place on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:00 pm.
The auction is the brainchild of five local friends with varied work, personal and social responsibilities who, along with the center's directors and volunteers, are hoping to provide for 21 children that rely on the organization to thrive and prosper.
One of such friends, Bay Vallarta editor Juan Espinoza, remarked: "it is a small effort with very large, positive intention, to make a difference in their everyday lives."
Some of the artists that have offered their works for this unique evening include Javier Niño, Meg Munro, Marta Gilbert, Héctor Ponce, Lourdes Loera, Édgar Martínez, Adriana Mijangos and Luis Muriel.
The evening will also feature local piano celebrity, Salvador Salvatore.
Admission to this one-time event is free of charge.
