A productive group of 17 La Cruz and Bucerias Amigos got together to address the urgent issue surrounding the discontinuation of the PEACE recycling program.
Many different suggestions were put forth that warrant further exploration but for the short-term (one month) La Cruz resident Steve Cross generously offered the service of one of his employees to pick up La Cruz’ recycling and deposit it at the recycling center in Pontoroque. This will be limited to PLASTIC ONLY.
This temporary support from Steve allows us to continue the program while we seek a permanent solution.
To this end, a task force was formed for La Cruz and a separate team will be formed for Bucerias.
It was agreed that while each community will seek independent solutions, we will support each other in sharing information and ideas.
A lot of good suggestions were presented in this meeting and both communities feel positive that a viable long-term solution will be found.
You can help us in our efforts by using the bins for PLASTIC ONLY and spreading word to your friends and neighbors.
