The International Friendship Club (IFC) is sponsoring a Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon fundraiser at the River Café on Saturday, March 2nd.
The event begins at 12:30 and includes lunch and fashions presented by Deja New. The price is 300 pesos per person and includes the tip.
The River Café menu looks delightful beginning with a Summer Salad of organic green mix, carrot, jicama, pear tomato and citrus segments with tamarind-chipotle vinaigrette.
For the main course, you can choose between Pacific Roasted Mahi Mahi served over ratatouille vegetables with confit garlic sauce, tomato coulis and cremolata sauce - or - Sautéed Shrimp of the Bay served with potato puree and roasted cauliflower with crispy garlic-orange sauce - or - Roasted Free Range Chicken served with roasted rosemary spring potato, sautéed seasonal vegetables and Mediterranean Sauce.
Dessert will be a Mango Puff Pastry.
You may make your entrée selection at the table.
Deja New has developed a reputation for putting on a delightful Fashion Show and IFC guests have enjoyed owner Kathleen Palmer’s creativity and flair in the past.
Be entertained by the music of Martin as the fabulous Deja New models mingle through the tables showing off the VERY affordable styles.
There will be two special guest models. We have 2 young girls that will be presenting their own fashions for girls
launching their micro business. Perfect for that special gift for the grandkids! A gift with a story & meaning.
There will be fashions for men too so bring along that man in your life. If you can’t get him off the couch or the beach, bring a friend. I brought my husband last time and he surprised himself by having a great time!
IFC ALWAYS has the BEST raffle prizes & LOTS of them! As in all Deja New Fashion Shows, For EVERY item of clothing you bring to donate to the IFC Consignment Account, you will receive one ticket for a special drawing for a prize gift bag with over 1500 pesos in certificates!
As always, IFC proceeds go to fund the IFC Cleft Palate Program and other educational and community services.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at the IFC Clubhouse using pesos, Alexander A Salon in PLaza Marina, Deja New on Jacarandas, River Cafe & on Cupocity. Tickets may also be purchased at the door if the event is not sold out. Tickets are selling fast, but the River Cafe Seats 180, so don't be afraid to show up at the door!
