The experience of seeing these mammals up-close is hard to describe.

The Convention and Visitors Buraeu (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit launched an online contest to promote the different activities that take place in our destination, and also tried to consolidate a larger database of contacts including travel agents and end consumers, which will allow us to have more marketing strategies in the future.

Alejandra Margarita Carrillo Segura, Alonso Navarro Gómez, Abdul Nazarali, and Michael Morrison were able to share their experiences, and received the highest number of votes in the online contests organized by Mexico’s Pacific Treasure during last January.

This marketing strategy generated 272 testimonials on the experience of travelling to Riviera Nayarit, which were published on the official websites of Riviera Nayarit, as well as in the Facebook walls of participants. As a result of these actions, we received 1,057 "Likes" on the Facebook page of Mexico's Pacific Treasure.

In order to participate in these contests, winners had to go to the official website of Riviera Nayarit, fill-in the information that was required to participate and share an experience of the most impressive travel experience that they had in Riviera Nayarit.

"I love being able to share all the different activities with a gorgeous natural backdrop that this large extension of beaches has to offer," wrote Alejandra Margarita. With this comment, she attained the largest number of votes in the Spanish category, and won a 4-night stay at Villa del Palmar Flamingos, in European plan.

Among Mexican travel agencies, Alsonso Navarro Gómez from Travel Essence took the first spot, and won a 4-night All-Inclusive stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, with this testimonial: "One of the most beautiful activities in Riviera Nayarit is whale watching; the experience of seeing these mammals up-close is hard to describe, it's something out of this world that suddenly becomes something tangible."

Michael Morrison, from Austin, Texas, was the winner among English-speaking contestants, with the next comment: "I love the activities that Riviera Nayarit offers. Whale watching, swimming with dolphins and surfing are all great beach activities!" And by writing this comment, he won a four-night stay in European Plan at Villa del Palmar Flamingos.

Abdul Nazarali from Latitude Plus Smart Travel won a four-night stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta under the English Travel Agent category. "Located at the heart of the Pacific Coast, this is the gateway to thousands of beaches that have the Sierra Madre as a backdrop. How could you not be totally amazed by these landscapes?"
