Fourth Annual Duckaton Fundraiser for SETAC-GLBT Community Center Paco Arjona - SETAC-GLBT

Paco Arjona, Director of SETAC (Solidaridad Ed Thomas A.C.), announces the Fourth Annual Duckaton Fundraiser where you are guaranteed an evening of fun while supporting the SETAC Puerto Vallarta GLBT Community Center.

The 2013 Duckaton will be held on Wednesday, February 20, from 7:00 until 11:00 and will once again be held and hosted at the Boana Torre Malibu condo-hotel on the poolside terrace, located at 325 Amapas street, just up the hillside from the well-known Los Muertos gay beach and Blue Chairs.

Your donation provides an evening of live mariachi music, DJ and entertainment. Enjoy food from some of Vallarta's finest restaurants, an open bar, and of course SETAC's famous rubber duckies floating in the pool!

The "swimming boys" are always the center of attention as the crowd is anxiously watching and waiting as they collect the toy ducks in the pool and call out your number to see which of the fabulous prizes, donated by the some of the wonderful sponsors from the Puerto Vallarta business community, you might win.
 
Bracelets for the Duckaton are available at the SETAC Community Center for a 400 peso donation, at the door for 500 pesos and 250 pesos for locals (bring your ID).

The SETAC GLBT Community Center, located at the corner of Constitucion #427 and Manuel Dieguez, has for the past three years offered a variety of services meant to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, and Transgender (GLBT) community, their families and friends. A network of GLBT and non-GLBT communities creates opportunities for members of both to experience, learn and participate in our common goals and services to hundreds in the Puerto Vallarta communities. The Center hosts English classes, AA meetings to provide the 12 step program for drug and alcohol addiction in English and Spanish, free walk-in HIV and Syphilis rapid testing and counseling and promotes safe sex through education and availability of condom for the asking. Mothers living with HIV are provided free formula for their babies along with counseling and moral support. A Psychologist is available on site Tuesday and Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, movies are shown every Tuesday night at 7:30 pm and much more.  ALL ARE WELCOME.
