Puerto Vallarta & Mexico Tourism Boards Create Alliance for MICE Gustavo Rivas-Solis - Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board will continue its promotions of its Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention and Exhibition (MICE) industry in 2013 with a proactive campaign, including a strategic alliance with the Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) with whom it will participate at this year's AIBTM, IMEX and MPI.
 
From January 13-16, Guillermo Ohem, Executive Director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, joined Eduardo Chaillo, the MTB's Executive Director for the Meetings Industry, at this year's PCMA's Convening Leaders in Orlando to present the Mexican Pacific jewel's varied meetings and conventions infrastructure.
 
During the conference, which aims to educate MICE professionals on the latest trends, Ohem conceived an interview with PCMA-TV, educated over 2,000 professionals on the destination at the MTB-sponsored luncheon and showed the floor plan layouts of some of the venues Puerto Vallarta is home to, including its International Convention Center.

Ohem also participated in a Tequila Tasting that was presented by the state of Jalisco, where Puerto Vallarta is located, as a sample of the many activities that can be done while visiting the city in a meeting or convention.

In 2013 the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board is planning a proactive and intense promotion of its MICE infrastructure, including a high presence in IMEX and MPI as well as meeting with professionals during its upcoming roadshow which will visit cities across the US and Canada.
