MEXICO CITY - Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman presumably suffered a partial cardiac arrest in mid-November, with a false identity, and was briefly admitted to a private hospital in Jalisco, according to police information.

Federal authorities said last month that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) provided information to Mexican agencies to inquire into the alleged hospitalization of the leader of the Sinaloa cartel for cardiovascular disease.
