Hackers stole sensitive data on 40 million people who went shopping in the United States from November 27 to December 15, 2013, digital media reported on Saturday.
The cyber pirates succeeded in getting the numbers, expiration date, codes and names of credit cards, according to a report from the U.S. commercial network Target.
Target representative Molly Snyder said it will be hard for the hackers to access the clients' bank accounts, because they stole encrypted passwords.
