SANAHCAT, Yucatán – Sanahcat is the starting point for the sanitation, conservation, reforestation and rescue of the Yucatan hydrological areas.
This town is a major tourist spot in the Muncipal Alliance of 14 Yucatecan municipalities. In this program, various tasks will be aimed at protecting the environment and sustainable development.
Deputy Dafne Lopez Martinez stressed out the importance of this program: “With these actions of conservation, reforestation and restoration the main objective is to impulse sustainable tourism development in the region formed by 14 municipalities , he said.
“In Sanahcat there are approximately 42 cenotes, most of which are open to the public, that is why a sanitation labor is urgent, as these areas represent an opportunity to attract tourists,” said the López Martínez.
