Oaxaca was once again the scene of a baby born in the bathroom resulting in an alleged medical malpractice suit.

Cinthia alleged that she gave birth in the bathroom of the Health Center in San Jacinto Amilpas because the doctor had asked her to wait.

This is the fourth case reported in the last four months of this year.

Collectively, the victims stated that the staff of the Ministry of Health of Oaxaca made them wait to receive care in the delivery of their babies.

Cinthia's father complained to the Human Rights Ombudsman of the People of Oaxaca that on October 25 his daughter came to the hospital in labor and following a review, the doctor on duty asked her to return at 6:00 am the following day.

Minutes later, Cinthia said that she could not stand the pain and gave birth in the bathroom of the clinic.

According with the complaint, the Health Center doctor asked the woman to return home and return for her appointment. She opted to stay.

Cinthia's father said that while waiting, Cinthia felt the need to go to the bathroom, and there gave birth.

After the incident, she said, the medical staff came into the bathroom to see that she had delivered the infant herself.

The complaint was filed on November 11 and the Ombudsman issued precautionary measures in favor of the woman and her baby to receive the medical care required.

On July 18 and October 2, Cristina López Durán and Irma Aurelio Lopez gave birth at the Health Center courtyard of San Felipe Jalapa de Diaz. On November 5, Ruth Mendoza Martinez had her son in the street next to the Health Center of San Antonio de la Cal.
