Mexican capital hosting spectacular festival of lights (PressTV)
Mexico City's evening landscape has been transformed into a sea of light for a festival of lights.
Eighty artists have joined together for the festival - which is running from November 7 through November 10 - illuminating buildings in the historic center of the city, including animated projections on building facades.
In an homage to Mexico's rich history of muralism, the spectacles will focus on this technique. Illuminated buildings and spaces will include Garibaldi Plaza, Plaza de la Conchita, Antiguo Colegio de San Idelfonso, the Light Museum and the Alameda Art Museum.
The main highlight of the event will be light illuminating the Bellas Artes Palace of Fine Arts, in the middle of town.
Resident Ivonne Avila, said it made you look twice at buildings.
