To meet the demand for reliably delivering U.S. goods in Mexico, United Parcel Service Inc. has a new service providing door-to-door delivery south of the border in four to eight business days.
UPS announced this month the launch of UPS Standard Mexico, which also provides a money-back guarantee for on-time delivery, routine customs clearance at no additional charge and end-to-end visibility and pro-active notifications.
“Mexico was the United States’ second largest export market in 2012 and is its largest importer of U.S. computer and electronic parts,” said Romaine Seguin, president of UPS Americas Region.
“By leveraging UPS logistics expertise, we can help our customers maximize the potential this market has to offer.”
The release also cited U.S. Commerce Department figures showing that trade between the U.S. and Mexico has increased 113 percent over the past 10 years, with more than $1.35 billion in cross-border commerce taking place every day.
