MEXICO CITY – National Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) President Jesús Zambrano said on Monday that an investigation should be launched into allegations that Guerrero Gov. Ángel Aguirre Rivero partied with mariachis while emergency warnings should have been issued for his state regarding the approach of tropical storm Manuel.

A photo was published on Monday in the Mexico City press that showed Aguirre Rivero, a PRD member, throwing a lavish party with mariachis while Tropical Storm Manuel was devastating Acapulco. The party was also attended by former Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) Govs. René Juárez Cisneros and Rubén Figueroa, current PRI Deputy Manuel Añorve Baños and PRD Senator Armando Ríos Piter.
