The protesters have marched through the streets of the capital every year since they demanded restitution for the land they were forcefully evicted from in 1992, but they only started doing it nude in 2002. (Google Images)

MEXICO CITY - Around 200 peasant farmers belong to the Movement of the 400 Peoples protested by dancing semi-naked on Reforma Avenue in front of the Tower of the Little Horse. ... Playing cumbia [Afro-Caribbean] music, the farmers took advantage of red lights to dance in front of motorists passing by.

The members of the movement seek an audience with the Secretary of Government Relations, Miguel Angel Osorio Chong, to resolve the agrarian backwardness that exists in their communities.

In recent days, they have performed the same action in front of the Palace of Fine Arts and on Reforma Avenue at its junction with Insurgentes.
