Instructions Not Included Featurette (FilmFestivalVideos)
In his native country of Mexico, Eugenio Derbez is an extremely popular star, beloved for playing funny characters in movies and on television.
But in the United States, Derbez is an unknown first-time movie director promoting a project that took him 12 years to make.
“Instructions Not Included,” which opens in San Diego on Friday, is a touching comedy about a father and daughter that Derbez hopes is his introduction to American audiences.
It’s about an Acapulco playboy who changes his ways once a former girlfriend leaves a baby daughter at his apartment.
