President Obama's Address on 50th Anniversary of MLK 'I Have a Dream' Speech (YouHotNews)
In the same spot where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of his dream 50 years ago, President Barack Obama spoke of how King’s dream paved the way for him to become the first African-American president of the United States.
The president — delivering the keynote speech in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Equality — described King’s dream as the dream of every American.
“He gave mighty voice to the hope of millions,” Obama told the crowd. In addition, he said that Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech and the March on Washington led not only African-Americans to equality, but other minorities as well.
“America changed for you and me,” Obama said.
