The duo initially got their idea for an online thrift store when they found that they had to many of their own things to get rid of. Due to the high expenses and short life span of running a physical thrift store location, they came up with the idea of running a thrift store via the world-wide-web. By eliminating the need to pay for real estate and in-store distribution, they were able to create a revolutionary new business model that lets people interact with their transactions through an easily navigated database.
