Messiah Image of Nazario “El Chayo” Moreno

Nearly three years ago the federal police in Mexico reported they had killed ‘El Chayo,’ the leader of La Familia Michoacana cartel. He was announced dead by the government December 10th, 2010. The drug lord was said to have met his death during long gunfight near the city of Apatzingan in the state of Michoacan.

After years of speculation and a building ‘legend’ around El Chayo, it’s now becoming obvious ‘The Craziest One’ is still alive. People of the Apatzingan community and visitors have been whispering of his indoctrinating new gang members every Sunday, along with hosting a massive feast in 2012 to celebrate life.

The ‘rumors’ of Nazario Moreno’s death are just as much talk as him being alive. His body was never recovered by federal police. The unit that had the gunfight with his ‘La Familia Michoacana’ used information obtained from outside sources to determine was one of several killed.

The ex-president of Mexico let that information from the police detour his attention to other sensitive issues. It’s the latest President, Enrique Pena Nieto, who wants to investiage the rumors.
