On Tuesday members of the Pact for Mexico agreed to approve electoral reform in a possible special session of Congress, in order to eradicate all practices reported by the PAN and PRD in the July 7 elections and others that limit the development of democracy, reported the Secretariat of Government Relations (SEGOB).

In a statement, the agency confirmed the commitment of the Government of the Republic to fight impunity and to integrate all inquiries about complaints regarding the July 7 elections, so all those guilty of any liability or wrongdoing are punished.

Additionally, efforts from the government will be added to deal with complaints of electoral irregularities and to correct them in the framework of ongoing judicial proceedings.
