Caverns are Underground Treasures (sadecesuic)
Somewhere 980 feet below the surface of the Earth near Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico, is a fantastic cave named Cave of the Crystals or Giant Crystal Cave.
Sadly it is not open to the public. Only a very few people have had the opportunity to visit and be awed by its beauty.
This cave is filled with gigantic crystals of selenite, better know as gypsum. The largest crystal found there so far is 39 feet in length, 13 feet in diameter and estimated to weigh 55 tons.
The temperature of the cave is a sweltering 136 degrees F and has a humidity level between 90 and 99 percent.
