Clowns of all shapes and sizes march through Mexico City on an annual pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady Guadalupe. Report by Melissa Nathoo. (ITN)

Hundreds of colourfully dressed clowns took part in a pilgrimage near the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City.

The annual event took place earlier this week, in which the decorated participants thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for helping them find work throughout the year.

The jubilant joksters come from all over Mexico to attend a mass in honor of the saint in appreciation for their health, wealth and happiness.
