Festival Internacional De La Cultura Maya 2013 (Julio Armando Moreno Parra)
Former U.S. presidential candidate Al Gore and Deepak Chopra are some of the special guests of the preliminary program of the International Festival of Maya Culture 2013.
A few of the artists include Placido Domingo, Joan Manuel Serrat, Filipa Giordano, Gustavo Dudamel, and Yanni.
Most of the activities will be outdoors and admission will be free for most venues including Merida, Progreso, Valladolid and Izamal.
Museums also will host activities, including: the Gran Museum of the Maya World, the Contemporary Art Museum Ateneo of Yucatán, the Canton Palace, the Popular Art Museum, the Museum of the City, the Natural History Museum, the Yucatan Song Museum and the Pinacoteca.
