Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim (fan made) Trailer
Pacific Rim creator Guillermo Del Toro is another celebrity who will not return to his Mexican birthplace to live because of political instability.
Del Toro stated that he doesn’t have much faith in the Mexican government to carry out their promises and does not believe the social situation will get any better soon.
In a recent interview at the premiere of Pacific Rim, he also mentioned that he would not film in Mexico for security reasons. In 1998, Guillermo‘s father was a victim of kidnapping.
