Internet users in Mexico, according to a study by Kaspersky Lab, appear to be the most careless in choosing passwords. Kaspersky Lab investigated "the weak points" in the choice and storing of passwords by Internet users.
According to a survey of Facebook users, conducted by the social network, Russians were cautious regarding the uniqueness of passwords. Only 12% of them said they use the same password for multiple accounts. Globally the same password for all resources is used by every fifth user. In the U.S. the figure is even higher - 23%.
The most careless were Mexicans - 26% of respondents from Mexico said they use the same password for authorization on all resources. In Russia only one in ten is that careless.
