Defense Distributed can now legally make and sell 3D printed firearms and parts. This is disruptive technology on an epic scale.

Def Dist persevered after having 3D printing equipment seized by twitchy manufacturers and being booted from a 3D printing group that wasn’t nearly as open as it claimed to be. Now they are completely legal.

What you think about guns isn’t the point. 3D printing is. If they hadn’t been the first to make 3D printed guns, someone else would have. This technology is unstoppable.

Their new initiative is Defcad, an open source search engine for 3D printing designs of all types, not just guns. Just download them and print.

This video was recorded before they got the federal license. I’d characterize their politics as libertarian anarchist. They want a revolution for 3D printing of all types that will route around government interference and copyright laws that stifle innovation and protect the entrenched. Their new initiative is Defcad, an open source search engine for 3D printing designs of all types, not just guns. Just download them and print.

Join them in their revolution. Make no mistake. 3D printing changes everything. It’ll be bigger and more disruptive than the internet was.
