Cancún - Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival 2012 (crmfest)

It’s time to head south of the border and make our way to the Cancun-Riviera Maya region of Mexico for the second annual CRM Wine and Food Festival.

The event, taking place from March 14-17, brings together some of the world’s most distinguished chefs, sommeliers, food, wine, and spirits producers and distributors, foodies and gourmands for one delicious weekend.

Under the theme “Europe Meets America”, this year CRM will be celebrating Italy and it’s master chef will be Massimo Bottura, chef and owner of Osteria Francescana, as well as Mexican star chef Enrique Olvera, chef and owner of the celebrated Mexico City spot Pujol.

Over the three days, festival-goers can check out more than 25 events hosted in five luxe oceanfront properties, decadent yachts, traditional haciendas, and magical archeological sites. Sit in on round table discussions with chefs debating the future of Mexican cuisine, join expert sommeliers for tastings of Mexico’s best wines, learn about the latest spirit, mezcal, hop aboard a yacht and watch the waves as renowned chefs hit the galley, or enjoy a gourmet meal under the stars cooked by an all-star team.

This year, the festival has attracted key talent from around the world. Keep an eye out for celeb chefs like Mark Ladner of Del Posto in New York City, Marc Vetri, Jared Reardon, Aquiles Chávez of La Fisheria in Houston, Josefina Santa Cruz, Diego Hernández of Corazon de Tierra at La Villa del Valle, Elena Reygadas, Guy Santoro of the St. Regis in Mexico City, Nelson Méndez, Fernando Trocca of Sucre in Buenos Aires, and more.

Ticket prices vary, from $60 per event to upwards of $600 for themed packages, and events are already selling out. Head to CRMFest.com to check out the options and book your ticket.

Buen provecho!
