The young men and women came from Mexico, bringing their flags, and an affectionate song dedicated to Benedict XVI.

The group arrived to the last leg of their trip at Paul VI Hall at the Vatican, tired but happy. The young men and women came from Mexico, bringing their flags, and an affectionate song dedicated to Benedict XVI.

“Benedicto, brother, you are now Mexican, Benedicto brother, you are now Mexican...”

Their goal was to make the Pope smile and show him once again the affection they feel for him in Mexico.

They are between 12 and 17 years old, and though they just met recently, the group discovered they have much in common.

At their school, called Regnum Christi, they were invited to take part on a pilgrimage to Rome organized every year for Christmas. They embarked on their trip December 26.

Their return to Mexico will be marked by new friendships, and the memories they have shared while at the resting place of St. Peter.
