The End-of-Year Vacation Operation 2012 began this week to facilitate movement at toll booths. Assistance will also be given to travelers using the country’s highways.

The operation will last from 21 December to 7 January 2013 and will involve 700 officers, coordinated by SECTUR: 304 squad cars, 45 tow-trucks and 50 camper vans in 76 camps across Mexico. They will operate 24 hours a day.

These services can be requested via the hotline number 074, available 24 hours a day, which also offers highway information.

In addition, on the toll-free number 078 bilingual staff will provide information regarding highways and the location of the main tourist destinations.

Lastly, the Green Angels Corporation will act in close coordination with the Red Cross emergency services, the Federal Police and Federal Roads and Bridges.

Plan your Travel Route is a service available on the websites www.sct.gob.mx and www.capufe.gob.mx, at which journey distances, time and costs can be found. Enjoy your vacations!
