According to a poll by Pew Research Center (PRC), only 6% of Mexicans feel satisfied with their democratic system, and 2% say they have much confidence in the current administration.
The survey measured the satisfaction index of 38 countries where almost 42,000 people were interviewed.
The PRC investigated the perceptions of people on the democratic system, as well as other forms of government, such as technocracy, autocracy and military regimes.
Regarding Mexico, the confidence level in the form of government and democracy is very low. When asked, "How satisfied are you with the way democracy functions in your country?" 6% of Mexicans said they were satisfied, and 93% were not.
According to the PRC study, the satisfaction level is the lowest among the countries consulted and places Mexico countries like Lebanon, where some 8% approved of the form of government, and African and Asian Pacific nations and even nations which have had problems in recent years, like Venezuela, where 25% approve of the system of government and 73% reject it.
