A massive Mexican children's choir lined up along the US border to sing a song of national pride to show that music crosses the walls that politicians erect.

The 400-strong choir - made up of singers from 12 different schools - sang Mexico Lindo y Querido (Beautiful and Dear Mexico).

Conductor Francesco Grigolo is seen on a hillside frantically trying to keep his spread-out choir in time in the video shot in Tijuana, Mexico.

Mexico Lindo y Querido is a popular tune seen as a symbol of national pride.

The children belong to a singing group with members from Tijuana and the neighbouring US city of San Diego.

Their song was part of a concert called Hijos del Horizonte (Horizon Children) to show that music can cross borders.
