More Than 17,000 Police Agents Protecting Schools in Mexico City

The beginning of the school year for more than two million elementary and high-school students in Mexico City was protected by more than 17,000 police agents.

The operation accomplished completed the task of keeping the smooth vehicular traffic flow and peace at the entrance of 9,800 schools in the 16 government offices in the capital.

The head of government, Miguel Angel Mancera told the media that the operation Mochila Segura (Safe Backpack) would be on during this school cycle to protect all the elementary school students.

The police will also protect those students during the hours they finish school and speed up vehicle traffic.
