A truck driver miraculously survived a crash after his brakes failed, sending him speeding down a highway in Mexico.

Mexican Federal Police recorded the scene as officers followed the runaway truck for 6 miles.

The truck reached speeds of up to 99 mph before crossing over multiple lanes, veering off the highway and crashing to a halt.

It turns out the truck exited the highway onto a special hard shoulder with speed friction that slowed the vehicle down.

After the crash, the driver climbed out the window and appeared to be OK.
