In Southeast Mexico, the Zapatistas – activists in the anti-capitalist and alter-globalization movements – have decided to counter Trump's politics by producing "Zapatista" coffee as a collective. (EZLN.org.mx)

Their aim is to rally the entire Zapatista network to their cause, so they can mobilize against the deportation of Mexicans from the United States, and against other extreme right and xenophobic campaigns throughout the world.

So their message is not only addressed to Donald Trump, but to Angela Merkel, Vladimir Putin, Mariano Rajoy and Marine Le Pen.

The flagship coffee is organic and produced in the "Free and Sovereign State" of Chiapas in Mexico. Zapatistas live completely independently in Chiapas, with their own judicial system, education and healthcare – and now with their own espresso.

The first batch has just been produced, and you can drink it in San Cristobal de Las Casas in "rebel Mexico."

...The Zapatistas behind this movement have also published a video showing the production, harvest, drying and roasting process. So if you're interested in trying the delicious brew, keep in mind that "this Zapatista coffee tastes better if you drink it while resisting."
